Self-Portrait, With Pipe

I have spent years unleashing beauty in other people. Today I pointed the camera at myself instead.

It is an old picture. A younger me, no shirt, a warm wall behind him, a pipe in his hand, completely convinced he was the last great man on earth.

He wasn't, obviously. But he was having a glorious time pretending, and I do respect the nerve it took. The pipe is long gone, the swagger has calmed down a lot, and life has moved a few things around since then.

He is still up there though, king of one small wall, and I am not going to take it off him.
